About Our Staff

Gloria Peithman, Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner.

Graduate from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees. Gloria has over 25 years of experience in the medical industry. She specializes in aesthetic medicine and melanoma prevention. She is a member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses, Association of Medical Esthetic Nurses, Nurse Practitioner Society of Dermatology, Nurses Association of Medical Esthetic Nurses, and the Laser Institute of America. Currently works part-time as a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Emergency Department.

Ed Peithman, Certified Physician Assistant. Ed Peithman, Certified Physician Assistant. Over 25 years worked in urban and rural emergency departments, urgent care centers, pediatrics, and primary care. He specializes in aesthetic medicine and assists Dr. James Benjamin in his surgical center performing plastic surgery procedures.

Lauren Clow, Licensed Medical Esthetician. Graduate of Von Lee International School of Aesthetics. Her services include Skin Analysis and our signature Non-Ablative Laser Facial. She enjoys making people feel relaxed and more confident in a spa like atmosphere.

Greer Simpson, Licensed Medical Esthetician. We are so excited to introduce our new Esthetician, Greer Simpson. In 1989, Greer received her training in New Zealand where she worked until moving to London in 1994. In 1997, she moved to the United States where she met her husband. Greer and her family enjoy skiing and keeping up with her son's activities!

Brandi Meyers, Front Desk Coordinator. Graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School. She is currently working towards her cosmetology license and plans to perform chemical peels and microdermabrasions. Prior to joining the staff at Chesapeake Laser and Skin Care Center, she worked in retail for 8 years developing a strong background in customer service. She grew up on the Eastern Shore where she currently resides.

Dr. James Benjamin, Medical Director, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Owner of Renew Medical Surgical Spa in Bowie, Maryland. In the US Army for 12 years and finished as Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery at Walter Reed in 1981. He has been in private practice for 25 years. He specializes in Breast Augmentation, Abdominoplasty, and Body Contouring utilizing the latest technology like Smart Lipo.
